Those of you who joined us in 2017 will need no introduction to this remarkable band. The Ivor Novello nominated musical project of the hugely gifted Kate Stables, This Is the Kit have developed a reputation for live performances as enthralling as their innovative song writing.

Their fifth album ‘Off Off On’ was released in October 2020 to huge acclaim, further establishing Kate as a songwriter of exceptional quality and talent, ably crafting music of great beauty, wonder and illumination.

At Folk by the Oak  we’ll also be treated to music from their latest creation ‘Careful of your Keepers’, their 6th album released in June. Produced by Gruff Rhys (Super Furry Animals) the album promises “Warmth and a little wildness” (Rough Trade) and has been described as “a corker” (The Herald Scotland) and ‘daring and soft, cutting and warm’ (The Line of Best Fit).

It will be a joy to welcome This is the Kit back to our Main Stage at Folk by the Oak 2023.
