The Grove
The Grove
Welcome to The Grove!
Introduced to our Family Area in 2025, The Grove is a colourful canvas canopy space for everyone of all ages that loves singing and dancing.
Here you can expect many creative communal activities such as an All Ages Singing Workshop, our popular Ceilidh and even some Fairy Dancing!
It’s also home to The Willow Session – an inspiring early evening set showcasing students from the UK’s Folk Music Conservatoires.
The Willow Session
Ever keen to support emerging talent, The Willow Session is curated by Folk by the Oak alongside our partner charity Willow – who will MC this gig!
In 2026 The hugely talented singer songwriter Emily Keeble played The Willow Session and gave us a sublime evening set in The Grove at 6.35pm.
Updates on 2027’s Willow Session performer in The Grove coming soon…
All Ages Singing Workshop
In 2026 we were delighted to welcome Ben See to The Grove to lead some nature inspired songs in a workshop called – ‘Sing it to the Birds’.
Ben SeeBen is a singer and composer who runs the South London based choir Syrinx. He also led our sell out Spell Songs Choral Songbook Launch Concert at Sinfonia Smith Square in Autumn 2025.
Our first Singing Workshop was led by the wonderful The Melrose Quartet in 2025. It was so popular we have made it a Folk by the Oak staple with a new leader each year.
Details on our Singing Workshop for 2027 coming soon…
Everyone is welcome!
