We created our Acorn Stage to be a platform for a new generation of artists, and pride ourselves on finding the most exciting, innovative and talented performers to enthral and delight you. Malin Lewis is just the perfect fit and we’re thrilled to have booked them for our 2024 festival!

The award-winning composer and hugely talented performer melds West coast tradition with hair tingling, philosophical and dance inducing melodies inspired by European folk traditions, humans, queerness and the universe, all played on their newly invented, self-made bagpipe.

Performing as part of a trio for our festival, with Sally Simpson on fiddle and Ali Hutton on guitar, Malin’s unique sound is born from the deep connection that comes with making and composing for their own instrument. We are so excited to experience this live at Folk by the Oak!
