Regulars to Folk by the Oak will know that it’s become a festival tradition to close our Acorn stage with a high-energy, foot-stomping, ground-shaking set, but that we never compromise on musical talent to achieve this!
That’s why we’re delighted to announce Cut Capers to close our 2023 Acorn Stage, a band known for their energetic live performances and infectious sound that has won them a cult following on the British festival scene.
Mixing a heavy 4-piece brass section with funk, dance and hip-hop, their sound is hard to pin down but comparisons have been made to “Lianne La Havas, Hot 8 Brass Band and The Streets” among many others (The Bristol Magazine).
Cut Capers 2nd studio album ‘Metropolis’ has received critical acclaim and national airplay and the release, alongside subsequent remixes, has clocked almost 5 million streams on Spotify alone. If you haven’t yet come across Cut Capers you need to make sure you’re at our Acorn Stage for their set – it promises to be one to remember!
