Headlining our Acorn Stage this year will be the legend that is Beans on Toast – a prolific writer and performer renowned for live shows that are both unpredictable and memorable, packed with protest songs for the modern-day, honest and open love songs, songs to make you laugh and songs to make you think.

A festival favourite who tours constantly and has written and recorded 16 albums, Beans on Toast is at once a hippy, a punk and a poet, a die-hard romantic and an eternal optimist whose simple songs tackling big issues have earned him a much deserved cult following.

His no holds barred honesty and quick wit are combined with a self-deprecating quality that breaks down the barrier between musician and audience, and we can’t wait to see this in action at Folk by the Oak!
