The powerful and captivating Scottish songstress, Amy Macdonald closed the Folk by the Oak 2018 Main Stage.

We caught Amy on her 2017 sell out tour, and were so blown away we were delighted to secure her for one of her few UK festival gigs in 2018. Amy is a dedicated live performer and probably the most successful young Scottish singer-songwriter on the festival circuit today. She has earned a reputation for lively, effervescent performances, easily hitting the level of energy we aim to bring to the Folk by the Oak Main Stage for our festival finale.

Her finely honed acoustic set showcased songs from Under the Stars, released in 2017, Life in a Beautiful Light (2012), A Curious Thing (2010) and, of course, This is the Life, the album that shot her to fame in 2007 and launched a career selling millions of records.

By taking her music back to its roots, and reworking her classics into these acoustic versions, the singer has been able to build on her ten years of experience to deliver a strong but equally passionate and refreshing performance
