Kitty Macfarlane last joined us in 2017 with a performance that left our audience clamouring for more, and leaving us in no doubt that the next time she returned it would be to perform on our Main Stage. We are delighted that, with the release of her remarkable debut album Namer of Clouds the time has come for Kitty to join us again at Folk by the Oak.

Known for poignant, poetic and keenly observed narrative songwriting, Kitty's simply sublime vocals soar as she takes us on a journey rich with visual imagery across themes of mankind’s relationship with the wild, taking inspiration from the sky to the seabed, touching on rewilding, climate change, migration and woman’s historical relationship with textiles and the land.

This will be a magical performance to open our 2020 Main Stage and we very much look forward to sharing it with you.

Her remarkably accomplished debut album, Namer Of Clouds, beguiles with its poetry and tenderness, and her eye for detail, vivid imagination and bright vocals make it a captivating listen. She is a talent to watch
