The Drystones

The Drystones.jpg

The Drystones have already achieved a remarkable number of festival appearances for such young performers, but as the 21 year olds first came together back in July 2011 and are simply brimming with talent, it’s hardly surprising that they are now so sought after by festivals large and small.

Hailing from Priddy in Somerset the boys are masters of violin, guitar and whistle, and are renowned for the kind of spirited and energetic performances that our own Acorn Stage audience have come to expect at Folk by the Oak.

Nominated for the 2018 BBC Radio 2 Folk Young Folk Award, The Drystones may be young but this amazing duo has talent beyond their years. We urge you not to miss this set!

Indecently talented

- Mike Harding, Mike Harding Folk Show -

To describe their instrumental style as spirited and animated would be akin to asserting that Bellowhead can be quite an energetic band

- Clive Pownceby, Living Tradition -

Fabulous, I haven't seen anything like it in 45 years of folk!

- Dave James - Bromyard Folk Festival -
