Folk by the Oak 2020 Postponed

It is with much sadness that we must announce that the 13th Folk by the Oak
will be postponed until Sunday 18 July 2021.

Since 2008 you have joined us every year for our friendly little festival among the trees and, whilst it is with very heavy hearts that we bring you this news, we know that it is the right thing to do. We take our responsibility for our festival-goers, artists, crew, and wider community very seriously.

The safety of our incredible Folk by the Oak family has been put in doubt by the uncertainty surrounding the Covid-19 outbreak, and we have therefore taken the decision not to stage the festival in 2020.

We have such loyal and enthusiastic followers, and we know that you will all be as saddened by this announcement as we are. The summer really will be a lot less colourful without you, but we are already busy planning for 2021 and looking forward to welcoming you back for a much needed day of sublime music and festival fun.

Tickets

If you have booked tickets for this year's festival we will contact you via email.

Your booking will automatically be carried over to Folk by the Oak on Sunday 18 July 2021, or full refunds are also available until 1 September 2020. Customers who wish to transfer to next year do not need to take any action now; you will automatically be sent new tickets in the autumn, and to show our gratitude we will enter you into our VIP prize draw! The charitable donation to Willow from your ticket purchase will also remain, and we will be passing this directly on to them.

If you have a booking with us and you have any questions please head to our Postponement FAQs page for answers to the most common queries.

Some good news...

We were very excited about our 2020 line-up, and are working hard to ensure that the programme will be replicated as far as possible in 2021. We are over the moon that headliner Seasick Steve and Folk by the Oak favourite Kate Rusby are already confirmed. Further details of the line-up will be announced as soon as we are able.

Keep in Touch

Please do stay in touch on social media at our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages. We'll also send any important updates and reminders via email, so if you're not already a subscriber please sign up to our newsletter.

If you have a query that isn’t answered at our Postponement FAQs page and you need to contact us direct, please note that the team are working remotely and the best way to get in touch is to email info@folkbytheoak.com . It will be a very busy time for us, so please bear with us if we take longer than normal to respond.

Just before we go...

We are very mindful at this time that our wonderful charity partner Willow are going to be facing a difficult year, so please continue to show them your support where you are able, as we will be doing.

You can donate via the dedicated Folk by the Oak supporters page. And you can find further information about their incredible work at the Willow website, Facebook and Twitter pages.

Our talented hardworking musicians are also facing many challenges this year. You can show them your support and appreciation by visiting the Help Musicians website.

Finally, take good care of yourselves, look after each other, and we'll see you next year.

Stay safe and well.

With very best wishes from

Adam, Caroline, Beth, Emma and the Folk by the Oak team
