Folk by the Oak takes place in the beautiful, leafy surrounds of the historic Queen Elizabeth Oak Field at Hatfield House , just 21 miles north of London

Getting There

Arriving by car
The festival parking and entrance is clearly signposted from all major routes into Hatfield, Hertfordshire. Please use postcode AL9 5NQ for Sat Navs then look out for temporary yellow event signage as you approach the venue.

Ample free parking is provided on site (no overnight parking please)

If you do need to drive and have spare seats why not consider car sharing? Please do remember to use a reputable car sharing website that you trust. 


Arriving by bus

Arriving by train
The pedestrian entrance to Hatfield Park is opposite Hatfield Railway Station with London Kings Cross only 20 minutes away. 


Arriving by bike
We recommend that you enter via the estate entrance know as North Lodge (postcode AL9 5LZ.) This is the safest route for cyclists and just 2 minutes from Hatfield Railway Station if you are coming part way by train. Follow stewarded route to the festival entrance.

Please note that there is no designated cycle lane on the estate and that arriving by bike is done at your own risk. Please take extra care during peak festival traffic times.

Unfortunately, because Folk by the Oak is only a one day event, we are unable to provide camping facilities on site. The nearest campsites to Hatfield House are as follows:

Great budget accommodation is also available at the University of Hertfordshire, 10 minutes via regular bus service, and 8 minutes by taxi from Hatfield Train Station.
